The recent growing anti-abortion movement is not about the kids. I’ve heard stories about pregnant women attempting to make the members of the movement put their money where their mouth is. They could do this by helping support the mother in her time of need, maybe paying to help support her, after all; shouldn’t kids get wheat they need? I mean, if we’re going to have births, shouldn’t we have the support infrastructure in place for children to live in good homes.
From what I’ve seen, this movement tries to limit the bodily autonomy of women. This would start a decline of putting the rights for women back to the 50’s. Some have thought about (jokingly or otherwise), identifying as guns. This is because guns seem to have more rights, as far as the government is concerned.
Something I’ve never quite understood; if these people are so pro-life, what are they doing to help fight those who commit many horrible crimes? Such as our Billionaire class, who exploits workers, many times to death (Bezos, Musk, etc? What about fighting companies such as Hershey’s, Mars and Nestle, who exploit and starve local native populaces (many times children). Who make them harvest water for their companies and other child labor.
See, me personally, I like to put my money where my mouth is. It’s up to every woman whether or not she wants to have a child, you can’t make that decision for them. You also can’t make someone get a vaccine or wear a mask. After all, our country needs citizens, last time I checked. One that cares for its people is a stronger country than one that does not. A more contented populace is one that is one that is more willing to work together to solve our problems.
